Citizenship loss laws under review
Legislation was passed in 2015 to amend the citizenship act.
The new legislation allowed for the automatic loss of citizenship for people with dual citizenship who committed certain terrorism related acts.
Now questions are being raised about the effectiveness and constitutionality of the laws.
Similar questions are being raised about the proposed temporary ban on Australian citizens returning to Australia.
