Tony Abbott taken to task by citizenship law expert over 'benefit of the doubt' remark

Citizenship law expert Kim Rubenstein has questioned the Prime Minister's claims that Australian authorities have too generously given potential terrorists the "benefit of the doubt" in citizenship and residency decisions. Tony Abbott made the comments in a video message on Sunday where he foreshadowed what he is pitching as a major national security statement next week.
